Lori Crawford:
I just want to say thank you, thank you for this site!!! I have learned an incredible amount from my visits. I have had 1 failed IVF, and i am now 13 days into my 2nd attempt with frozen embies this time...I'm soooo scared. Anyway, best wishes to you all in 2000!! :)
Tiffany:
My husband and I are just beginning the process of adopting a baby via IVF - using another couple's unused frozen embryos. We are so excited that God has led us in this direction. What a joy to be both the birth & adoptive parents!
Hope:
This is the best web site that I have seen and
I have seen alot. My husband and I are waiting to start our IVF and this has helped me feel more confident. I just wont to thank you!
Nathalie:
What wonderful help for me. I feel supported for my 4th treatment.
Thanks a lot
Amy:
Just found out that we are pregnant after four rounds of IVF over the course of a year (one not completed due to hyperstimulation). I am very nervous and amazed at the same time. I had four embryos transferred, and get an ultrasound Tuesday to see how many it appears are there. We have had two blood tests, both strong, but still are cautiously excited.
Patricia Evans:
Hi Brenda, I just wanted to tell you that my dh & I have also adopted a beautiful sheltie named Suzie. She looks almost identical to Bella. We have been going through the fertility rollercoaster for nearly 2 years. We have done clomid, Repronex & iuis. We are all prepped for our 1st ivf cycle in January. I'm secretly praying for a Christmas miracle so we won't have to take the ivf plunge.Your website has been so helpful and encouraging. My dh & I will only have 1 cycle due to the costs unless we get alot of frozen embryos we will not continue. We have decided to save the money and start adoption proceedings if the ivf fails. I wish all of you
wpmen success with your new cycles. May 2000 be a miraculous year for us all!
Lise:
This is a very nice site. I am starting supression this in 1 week. The information here will help me through this. Thanks.
Shannon:
We've been through three tubal pregnancies and I've lost both tubes in the process and now 2years after the last one we are finally thinking positive about having kids again. IVF seems the only way with us, besides adopting. It's taken me a long time to get started looking around at our different options and at least thinking positive about it. I'm so glad I'm not alone and this site has been an inspiration of hope. God bless to you all and the very best of luck.
Cindy:
Wishing everyone the best of luck in conceiving that baby of your dreams!
Rosemary:
I just saw the picture on the Home page of your
beautiful Bella. The unconditional love given by
pets makes all your troubles a little easier. Our "Chet" has made us smile, when things are bad. Merry Christmas and the Best Wishes for a safe, healthy and very productive New Year.
Cheryl:
good luck to everyone, this is my second attempt i test on december 20th can't wait!!! have positive thoughts and hoping everyday my dream will come true...
Grace:
Hello, I'm so happy that I found this web site it has been a god send these past months. My DH and I went through our first IVF this past Oct./Nov. with negative results. I went in on it feeling very blind, but now that I've found this web site I have found out so much. Thanks so much!!!!
Christina:
Hello. I'm Christina from Melbourne, Australia. I have had one ICSI cycle and one FET. The first cycle in September produced 17 eggs, but none could be put back immediately as I was over stimulated. They managed to fertilize 14 eggs, but only six survived to be frozen. I then had a FET cycle without drugs in Nov/Dec. Unfortunately only two embryos survived the thawing and although these two were then transferred, the result was negative. It was devastating, even though we know success rates are not that high per cycle. As it is a male factor problem (sperm antibodies), we were hopeful that provided we managed to get the eggs fertiised, then we had a good chance..We will try again in January 2000. I would love to hear from any other couples with the same problem - particularly any who have has success, as we need encouragement! Good luck to us all in 2000, and thank you for this site.
sharna:
a very comprehensive web site. i'm on my third cycle of ivf/icsi. wishing eveyone a happy new year and hoping for lot's of new ivf babies. good luck and god bless.
venus:
I would like to thank all of you for your support. I just went through with my first IVF and the results were negative. I was very upset. I found this site and gave me some kind of comfort. I know I'm not alone. Thank you and Good Luck to you all.
SONJA:
We just finished our first cycle. Retrieved 8 eggs, 7 fert. Had two transferred. Got results yesterday, they were negative. We have 3 frozen and plan to transfer all three soon. I conceived a son 21/2 years ago through IUI with the first cycle. I've had three IUI's without any luck. I'm lucky that I do have a son that helps to keep my mind off the infertility sometimes. Good luck to everyone out there, try to think positive, I know easier said then done. Maybe the millenium will be the best year for all of us.
Sherri Mullenax:
We had our first round of tests yesterday&filled my prescription for my first cycle. I am so excited to start IVF. Of course my insurance is not covering enough of it. Even with the cost so great, this is an exciting time for us. I have great hopes for the future. I hope this site will be my connection for a glimpse into the unknown.
Samantha (Worcestershire England UK):
I have just had my first treatment of IVF, and yesterday I had the bad news that my 7 healthy eggs had not fertilised. As you can guess I am devastated. I have to now wait untill March 2000, to start the treatment for ICSI. All this morning I have been on the phone to numerous support groups and various organisations regarding the catchment areas of where you live to get funding on the NHS. I will also be writing to my local MP plus the Prime Minister (Tony Blair). This is a good well site and has been found at the write time, good luck to you all, please, please say a prayre for me!!!
nicole:
Hi everyone, I am a fertility nurse in Canada and just wanted to tell all of you that you are all so strong, brave and so full of love. Sometimes we don't show you our feelings as we try to remain strong for you but when you are not in the office we cry out of happiness and sadness for all of you. You have all given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. I wish all of you sucess and to have all your dreams fulfilled. Happy Holidays and the best to you all in the New Year.
Kathleen:
This is our second try for IVF. We waited 8 months to try again, it is really a scary experience. I main concern is the cost. Does any one know of an insurance company that will cover infertility & where is the most inexpensive pharmacy to get are meds? This site is a godsend . Good Luck to every one! I have started my bc pills and will be on my way.
Karen:
My husband and I have been trying for 1 1/ years to have a child. We had a child, sadly he passed away at 6 1/2 months old. Now I have problems with me making it very difficult to get pregnant. We have been seeing a fertility specialist for 8 months now. We have tried artificial a few times, but with my problems, that is like a hit & miss. It looks like IVF is a very good possibility. I don't really understand it. My girlfriend is going through her first IVF cycle now. That is how I found out about the site. I would love to get some more info if you have any to share. Thank you.
Christine :
Hi! we've been trying for 5 years. both of us has problems. I have severe endometriosis while my husband has poor sperm count. We're planning to have our 1st IVF this January. Hope all of us who are waiting will soon receive this blessing.
btw, is there any support group on line. Hope to join one.
Thanks!
Christina:
My name is Christina and my husband and I are both 28. We have been TTC since October, 1998. In June, 1999, we found out that we are dealing with a very severe male factor and there's no chance of ever conceiving on our own. At that time we started doing tons of research and came across IVF Connections. We have learned so much and we're so glad for this site!! We will finally be starting our first IVF/ICSI cycle at the end of December. The RE has given us fantastic odds, 75% - 80% chance for first time success since I am very healthy and it's just the male factor we're dealing with (which ICSI helps alleviate!) I am going to join the Cycle Buddy List and I know that I'll be full of questions and thankfully, you guys will be full of answers, encouragement and prayers for us. Thank you so much!!!!
Kathryn:
I am 33y/o and we have been trying to get pg for about three years now. After 6 unsuccessful IUI cycles with drugs, we are now just starting our first IVF cycle. We are feeling more hopeful(and scared) than ever. It is so great to find a place to connect with so many other people who truely understand! Good luck to everyone out there!!!
Demetra:
My first IVF cycle was in April of '97. We got pregnant that time but I miscarried a month later. I didn't think I would EVER recover from that. But I did, and we just completed our 2nd cycle. My transfer was Nov.20th and I get my results Dec.1st. (!!!!) Good luck to everyone out there giving all your heart and soul to becoming parents! (and good luck to me too!)
Lynley (New Zealand):
We have just undergone our second IVF/ICSI attempt which was sadly also unsucessful. This page has been a god send and I am sure will continue to bring us comfort when we undergo our FET in the new year.
I wish you all the very best of luck.
Maria:
I am 33 years old and my husband and I went through our first IVF in August 1999. We got the results on September 2nd which were negative. I honestly thought I was going to die. I was discuraged, confused and lost. My husband and I talked about trying again soon but since I had such negative thoughts and I was so confused, I wasn't sure what to do. I was killing time a work one day and decided to do a little research which lead me to this wonderful support sight. I considered it the first step to the mircle that will happen... Thank you all of you for cheering me up and helping me change my view of life.
Sandy:
I am 31 & have tried IUI 6 times, 3 with meds and no possitive results. My husban & I are going for our first IVF in Jan. I am hopeful for ++++ results this time. Stumbling onto this page & reading the stories has realy uplifted me. Best of luck to everyone out there!!!! Think +++++++!!!!!!
JKRIS:

Tasha:
I'm so glad I found this sight. My husband and I have been trying since May of 1996, and we've been through one round of IVF and an FET. We plan to try again after the new year and I'm looking forward to signing up for the IVF Buddies email list. It will be so nice to have someone to talk to about what I'm going through. No one but us really knows what it's like. Good luck to all of you out there!
Cheryl:
I was told about this site through our IVF Friends Newsletter and it has been inspirational. Our roller coaster ride has been going on for 6 1/2 years and is still going. We are about to undergo our 3rd FET after having 4 failed IVF/ISCI attempts and are hoping our 3 little embies thaw successfully. It is a comfort to know we are not alone in our quest for a baby and that we're not the only ones with unexplained infertility.
Rachel Stewart :
I found this so informative and comforting to know so many other people have same concerns as I do. Currently on Week 2 of suppression via nasal spray , looking forward to stimulation and saying a lot of prayers . Thanks again from Ireland ..
Julie:
Thank you so much for this website. My husband and I have been trying for just over two years to get pregnant to no avail. I have had a hysteroscopy in which the Dr removed one ovarian cyst and some minor endometriosis. This was six months ago. We have not gotten to the point of whether or not we want to try IVF or not but I wanted to let you know what a relief it is to know that we are not alone. This is the most isolating thing I have ever been through. Neither of our families really understands and it is nice to know that ours is not an isolated case by any stretch of the imagination. Thank you, Brenda, for designing this website. And good luck to everyone out there. God bless.
Kimberlee:
My husband and I have been trying to get PG for 1 1/2 years - no luck !! It appears we are infertile due my husband's varicocele. Happened upon this site by accident, nice to know we are not alone, that others share the frustration. Best of luck to all, and may God richly bless you all !!
Laura [London]:
I have just completed my first IVF/ICSI cycle in a central London clinic, which did not succeed. I was really happy with the Clinic and the treatment I received until it came to any aftercare ! Once I was told I had a negative result, I have found it difficult to get any advice, support and guidance, I now discover that my doctor is no longer there[no warning] and I am trying to find some positive vibes to try again ! I would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this as it feels a bit like they have 'taken the money and ran away !'. I am now considering going to another clinic but if anyone has had any similar problems I would be really interested to hear about them. If I do go ahead it will be in December or Jan so am trying to sort this before then. I also wondered if anyone had experienced cramps that continue after AF has supposedly finished [ by 3 - 4 days], I wasn't expecting this but have been advised this can happen. Thanks to whoever responds.
marcy:
what an awesome website. I haven't any other place with so much information from the people who have been there. thank you!!!
Holly:
Thanks Brenda, for such a wonderful website, I only wish I would have found it sooner. To all the IVF patients, stay positive, keep your head up,beleive that god does have a plan for all of us and may he answer your prayers.
Gordon & Lesley Brunskill:
I hope this will give sombody hope . We tried 10 times to concive at the kings hospitial in london ,This was 250 miles away from our familey and friends. No region in the North east of england would help us. We tried to get support from all the health areas in our area,no joy.As a man i was a watcher ,I could only stand by my wife and Try to understand what was going through her mind and her heart. Even our own families did not try to understand what we were going through. Over a 7 year period of treatments ,we were going home with "our baby" a the end of every treatment, this lasted for around 10 days then "it did not work" as we told every body. We finaly after 10 full treatments over 7 long years got the girl we so longed for. Emma is now 9 a great loving kid that is fun to be with .I look at lesley and I thank her for having the faith in the treatment from Day one she said "we will be a Familey i promise you this" we had some long dark days, but to all the people that i have read on this web sight i say (sorry we Say) go for it you are the best you go for every thing you can god will hear you.
Paula:
I am so happy I have found this site. I just finished my third IVF attempt (still waiting for results) and I have found this to be very theraputic. It is hard not to give up hope and when I come to this site, I find hope. Thank you.
Patty:
I live in Pennsylvania and I am 30 years old. I have previously gone through my first IVF. I had 8 eggs retrieved and fertilized. 2 were transfered 9/21 but unfortunately did not take. I will have my second transfer soon. I am so happy that I came across this web site. I have been looking for something like this for months. It is a great site with so much information and it shows you that you are not alone on this emotional roller coaster. Keep up the great work, I will be back. I especially like the success stories which give me hope.

Kathy York UK:
Just found this page, my partner and I have a daughter ( third try IVF ) now 16 months old, the best thing that has ever happend to us, to all those trying we wish you strength and luck, I start the drugs again in December to try for a sibling, this is my brothers computer but I'm going to have to get a modem so I can be a part of this.
Caroline (Belgium):
Hello, we tried ICSI 4 times now, and we had positive news the first 2 times on the first bloodchecking (day 12). The third attempt failed (no conception after pick-up). The fourth attempt(mid october)has been the heaviest one. The pick-up delivered 7 healthy eggs, and they took a second biopt from my husband at the same time of the pick-up. We replaced 2 embryos (5 days old). I had a positive test day 12, and again a negative test day 14. Maybe due to high stress situations at work ? Anyway the day I received my bad news, I took an overdose of valium tablets. Some people may think I've lost it, but this IVF attempt was my fifth (one failed completely)this year only. And it was just one bad news too much. I have no clue what the future will bring, and we are getting out of ideas. My doctor recommends stepping into the sperm donor project. My husband feels OK with this, but I'm still doubting, and feeling very hurt after losing our twins. If the're people out there feeling the same, please send us a message. Good luck to all you and I'm wishing you the best results possible!!!
Lisa Skaggs:
I'm 24 years old and going through my 3rd IVF cycle! My egg retrieval is scheduled for next week! I just wanted to say what a great site this is..lots of info that you never get from the doctors. Good Luck to everyone!! Hang in there miracles do happen!!
Suzette:
This site is real!!! I met with my FE for the first time last week and despitee all the books I had read it still sounded unreal until i stumbled onto this site. You ladies bring it home by telling the story from your perspective. The textbook versions the docs give is nothing like real life experience. I applaude all contributors to this site for sharing your experiences. i hope I will be able to do the same
Lorraine Miller:
Just found this site. A wonderful source of info. Dh and I are about to embark on our first IVF.

So good to know there is such a support network out there. My partner and I are patiently waiting to start IVF in 2000 and every bit of help and advice is welcome! Good luck.
Debbie - England:
Just started IVF felt very alone until I was recommended this site - what a relief to know there's someone else who understands what we're going through. Things can only get better...can't they?
Kathleen:
A friend of mine was nice enough to do research for me and e-mailed me this wonderful site! I'm hoping to be able to do IVF in November. Prayers and positive thoughts to everyone!!!!! God Bless!
