my husband and I just tried our first ivf cycle and hopefully our last. Our transfer was on 11/9/01, so now we too are playing the waiting game. I hope that in the end we will be getting the news that we have waited so long for.

My husband and I have been ttc for a long long time. May 2000 decided to start testing as nothing happening. By October 2000 we were diagnoted with unexplained infertility. Two unsuccessful IUIs, then one pregnancy with serophene (Clomid) which turned out to be ectopic. Two more cycles of serophene and nothing has happened. I'm a wreak, live in northern Ontario and we don't have very good facilities here. Finally decided that I am going to have to go to Toronto because I think I'll get better care. Didn't know where to start. Came across your site by accident. I read Brenda's story, it gave me hope and then I cried, but then again I cry at everything now. Always dreamed of being a mom - always the one playing house and with dollies. Friends who said they didn't even want kids are on their second and third children. It doesn't seem fair. It was so great to read stories of other women going through the same experiences and having the same feelings. Makes me feel like I can cope. IVF scares me a little (procedure and cost) this site was great for explaining what happens. I know I'll tune back in.

Have done 3 IVF/ICSI cycles 1st one successful with 3 yr old daughter, 2 failed one 3/01 and 10/01. In a rest cycle for a couple of months before we try 4th and final cycle. Usually go to fertile thoughts site.

We are on our 4th IVF. Our pregnancy test is on Nov. 14th. So, right now, it's just "the waiting game". We transferred 4 embryos this time. Our last IVF cycle was in fact successful but we miscarried around 6 weeks. We're betting on this one!!! If anyone is on the same cycle, or just wants to chat, my e-mail address is tuckermaggie@netzero.net. Good Luck to everyone.

My husband and I will begin our first IVF in december. We have been ttc for 2 years. I'm not sure if we should go with the IVF (3 tries and 90% money back if failed) or just try once. it is so expensive..but is it worth it to go for the three tries? What are the chances of success for one try..I am 28 and my husband 27 and it is mostly male-factor infertility..we will be doing icsi as well. any suggestions would be wonderful. thanks and good luck to everyone!!

I am 29 and I was diagnosed with POF in August. I had no idea that I had no eggs, as I'd been on the pill for 12 years previously. My husband and I are finally getting through the grieving process and plan to start IVF as soon as we can. Must choose a donor first- having a hard time with that. I wish for twins, but would be overjoyed with any successful outcome. Three of my close friends have all announced their pregnancies within the past two months. It's so unfair! I hope IVF works for us!

Myself & My Husband have just completed IVF for the first time. It did'nt work even though I was so sure I would be expecting twins by Christmas....We are married nearly 7 years so you know how devestated we feel, however, we are not going to give up yet! we have to go back for a review in Dec and hope to start the programme again in Jan 2002. Maybe 2002 will be our lucky year, Lord knows we could do with a bit of luck.I wish you all your dreams come true!!A.

I really enjoy this site. Our jornery in trying to conceive has been going on for the past 2 years. We have tried numerous iui's and last month tried ivf with donor sperm. Unfortunatelly we did not succeed this time. We will be trying ivf soon. I am expecting my miracle this next time around.

I have been reading this wonderful site about a month ago! I will probably start on Synarel spray in two days time. This is my first IVF attempt. I am 39 yrs old and have a lovely daughter who'll be 7 yrs in Dec. I had an ectopic over 2 yrs ago and we would love to have another child. Hope and pray, we will be successful...
