Connection between IVF failure and low cholesterol?

Rate this Entry
I have really low cholesterol -- my total cholesterol number has never been above 137, and has dipped below 100. My HDL is high, LDL almost non-existent. I fear that while this is lovely in some ways, it might be one of the reasons I can't get pregnant. I've read about how cholesterol is important for creating the sex hormones.

1. Does anyone have information on the relationship between fertility and very low cholesterol numbers?

2. And to do my own informal research -- for those who have had a failed IVF cycle -- what are your cholesterol numbers?

My other numbers: age 38, AMH 0.43, FSH highest 15.4, most recent 10.1. 1 IVF cycle: 9 eggs, 7 mature, 6 fertilized, 3 ET on 3dt, no embryos to freeze. Husband has variocele which led to low sperm count, motility and morphology. We used ICSI and assisted hatching.

Thank you!
