type 1 diabetes are more likely to experience infertility. Type 1 diabetes is a disorder that is both polygenic (more than one genetic factor can be involved) as well as having an autoimmune component.
Now we've learned that two other autoimmune-related diseases, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are also linked to infertility in women.
